About Us
The Fernie Heritage Library is open with limited access and safety protocols in effect. Curbside pickup and online activities also available.
Located in the original Post Office building, the Fernie Heritage Library is a monument to Fernie community spirit and was one of the only structures spared in the fire of 1908. About 90 years after its original construction, the Post Office building underwent an extensive renovation and became the Fernie Heritage Library. Hundreds of thousands of dollars and uncounted hours of volunteer labour turned a worthy but tired city property into a legacy for future generations.
